About
My journey has been shaped by a deep commitment to decolonial methods of learning and a passion for sharing the experiences of marginalized communities. I earned my Master of Arts in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2022, where I specialized in transnational feminism and activism. This experience was complemented by an internship with the Greensboro Commission on the Status of Women, which provided valuable hands-on experience.
I previously earned a Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Anthropology from East Carolina University in 2020. During this time, I had the incredible opportunity to participate in a field school in Peru, where I surveyed women in the Andes to understand their daily stressors.
Currently, I work as an Assistant Director at a Women’s Center on a College campus. I continue my passion in community work through student mentorship and creative programming.
These experiences have solidified my belief in the importance of listening to and amplifying the voices of others.
I am a queer Panamanian and white woman from the south.
My experiences are like no others, but I find peace in the storytelling of others.
